Before Going On to The Next City, Two Australian Tourist Decided to Watch Solar Eclipse in Palembang

SRIPOKU.COM, PALEMBANG -- With the help form the information gained from the internet, two tourists from Australia, Dr. Chris Thorne and Jo Weston, decided to go to Indonesia, especially to Palembang, just to watch the Total Solar Eclipse that will happen tomorrow, March 9th, 2016.

Chris admit that she was very curious about this rare phenomena, which is rarely happen. On the other hand, the solar eclipse phenomena is not going to appear at western district of Australia, which is Chris' place.

"I know this information from the Indonesia's tourism website. I'm not alone, i come with my partner Jo Weston, to Palembang," said Chris, after having a lunch in one of donut's store at Dermaga Point BKB, Monday, March 7th, 2016.

"I also love photography, so i'm gonna capture this very rare moment with my camera, using the Ampera Bridge, as the background."

Chris also added that it is her first time comng to Palembang, she was so interested with the culture of Palembang, although she admits that local cullinary of Palembang doesn't match enough with her taste.

"I love the situation of Palembang. Thought it's hot, we've got lots of destination to visit in Palembang. I'm not too good with the food," she said.

Chris and Jo said that they are willing to stay in Palembang for a week. She and her partner wish to go around Palembang, visiting another tourism spot in Palembang, such as Kemarau Island.

"After watching the eclipse, i would like to go to Kemarau Island. I'm curious to know the history on the island. In the weekend, i'll go back to Jakarta," Chris added.

Chris and Jo was already in Palembang in Sunday, March 6th, 2016. They both staying in a hotel around Angkatan 45, Palembang.
