Sosok Rapper Kendrick Lamar sendiri berhasil mendominasi nominasi ajang MTV Video Music Awards 2017.

Ia juga memimpin dengan delapan nominasi dengan mencetak tujuh nominasi berkat video musiknya Humble.

Terbanyak kedua dipegang Katy Perry dan The Weeknd yang masing-masing mendapat lima nominasi.
