SRIPOKU.COM, PALEMBANG - Recently, the Governor of South Sumatera, Ir. H. Alex Noerdin, receive the arrival of Head of the National Peatland Restoration, Nazir Fuad, at Pemprov Sumsel, Monday (April 4th, 2016), to disscuss the restoration of peat in South Sumatera.

Alex said that he will suggest for the peat’s restoration to be done in the district that had the most peat, which is Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), and Musi Banyuasin (Muba).

“So, long before the organization for peat’s restoration formed, we’ve done the peat’s restoration, and and it will become an example,” Alex said.

He also added that in the process of restoration, the funds had already prepared, whether it is from Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN), or donations from abroad.

Alex said “There are also those who simply, because it can’t become a commercial system, must use grants from the APBN, so no needs to return the money.”
