Alex Noerdin Sure That An Oil Refinery Will Be Built in KEK Tanjung Api-api

SRIPOKU.COM, PALEMBANG - The Governor of South Sumatera, Ir. H. Alex Noerdin, feel confident that lots of investor would be willing to built at least one or two oil refinery in the industrial area of Special Economic Zones (Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus/KEK).

“I have asked the minister to give two factory to be built in South Sumatera. At least one. We are ready to compete with another provinces or to take over this factory,” Alex said.

“It’s because the potential of South Sumatera is so high and we got enough field,” Alex added, while providing exposures in front of the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources, about the readiness to built the industiral area in KEK, at the TAA Ferry Port, Monday March 20th, 2016.

Meanwhile, the provincial government of South Sumatera explained that they are ready to built the industrial area in KEK, Tanjung Api-Api.

Also, to support the facility and the infrastructures, a Deep Sea Port will be built, which is integrated with the industrial area.

Regina Aryanti, Chief of Project Management Unit of KEK TAA, said: “This Port will have a depth of about 25km. It’s still in the feasibility study process. Soon, the port will be built with the reclamation system.”

Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources, Sudirman Said, stated that South Sumatera had the potency to built a factory. “A think that the potency is in South Sumatera. And this needs deepening and study.” (Sadam Husen)
